Well this blog name reflects the inner desire of each one of us.. of doing something with a passion. Of making a difference and a lot of other chutzpah. So like many other netizens across the globe, I too make an ode to the Mumbai terror attacks of last week. But rather than going into the nitty gritty of the violence, how many killed, who is responsible, whom to blame etc etc. For that I think the entire nation has some view or the other. And the visual media is trying to outdo each other to show you some exclusive images. Infact right now one of the news channels is carrying images of the captured terrorist being moved to an undisclosed location. Although I do't know if it is undisclosed anymore.
I would rather focus on we as individuals and what we are doing. From last week I have been in Cochin for some official work and watched all these events unfold via news channels. And they have been just that, news for me. A friend of mine who is a doctor in a prestigious medical school in Bangalore didnt even know about it till I told her, a day after. Shall I say that she is apathetic? I don't think so she's a doctor and she saves lives every single day. She puts in 18 straight hours in her shifts. So I'll take that she was busy to catch up on the news. And I guess thats the thing with every one of us across the country we are all busy with our own lives and these events don't put a dent to our daily routines, until we ourselves or someone we know is personally involved.
The events have become a topic of discussion over our morning cups of tea or when we are out for a smoke break. We are a huge nation and just as this Mumbai drama cooled down. Yesterday there was a bomb blast in Assam, but that news didn't grab much news space on the channels as the Mumbai Fiasco is still worth milking.
